Asbestos Abatement

Current Projects

As Michiganders know, Michigan weather has never been predictable! During building a brand new 144 apartment/village complex, rainy weather hit before the roof was completed. Rain soaked the inside walls. Mold grew in a short few months. What a mess!

Construction had to be halted until the mold could be cleaned up. EME was called in to take a look at the situation. We prepared an immediate plan of action to clean up and remove the mold. A team of EME's techs worked for 2 weeks, sanitizing, disinfecting and treating the walls with Fiberlock Shockwave and final coating with Fiberlock Aftershock .

After EME's work was done, a third party environmental consultant took samples and declared the walls clean. City building inspectors gave the green light to the general contractor to continue construction on the project.

DemolitionJacobson's Department and Prices Men's stores were scheduled to be demolished. EME worked with ADAMO Demolition, Turner Construction and the City of Dearborn. EME was brought in to remove asbestos pipe insulations, fittings, floor tile as well as fluorescent lights and PCB ballasts.

The project was successfully completed in time for a site demolition.
